Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of KeepFirst: Photo Cleaner (“KeepFirst”) and keepfirst.app. KeepFirst is developed by Yifan Huang. By downloading, accessing, or using KeepFirst or this website, you agree to these Terms and to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.

App license and Apple terms

KeepFirst is licensed, not sold, for personal and lawful use. Your download and use of the app are also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement and App Store terms. If these Terms conflict with mandatory Apple terms for the app, those Apple terms control to the extent required.

Photos access and your responsibility

KeepFirst helps you review and organize media in an Apple Photos library that you control. You are responsible for:

  • granting only the Photos access you are comfortable with;
  • reviewing keep and Review Bin selections before confirming an action;
  • maintaining any backup or recovery setup you need;
  • confirming that each keep, Review Bin, and deletion request matches your intent.

KeepFirst does not promise perfect similarity grouping, classification, storage savings, synchronization, or recovery. It is not a photo-backup or data-recovery service.

Review Bin and deletion

KeepFirst is designed around choosing what to keep and reviewing the rest before deletion. Items in the in-app Review Bin remain in Apple Photos until you request deletion and confirm the standard iOS prompt. Apple Photos, iCloud, and Recently Deleted control the final library state, synchronization, and recovery period.

Optional purchases and subscriptions

KeepFirst includes a per-device allowance of 100 newly processed items. Optional Weekly and Monthly auto-renewing subscriptions, and a one-time Lifetime purchase, unlock unlimited local cleanup and Similar Photos. The price, billing period, and included features shown in the App Store or purchase sheet apply at the time of purchase. Apple processes payment and manages billing. Manual Keeps organization and photo-safety actions are not removed when the free allowance is exhausted.

An auto-renewing subscription continues until canceled through your Apple Account settings. Cancellation takes effect according to Apple’s rules and does not normally refund the current billing period. Purchase restoration, refunds, billing disputes, and payment methods are subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law. KeepFirst may change future pricing or plan features with the notice and choices required by Apple or applicable law.

Website content

This website provides product information and general guidance for reviewing and organizing iPhone photos. Information may change as KeepFirst, iOS, and Apple Photos change. The App Store listing is the source of truth for current availability, compatibility, pricing, and purchases.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse KeepFirst or the website, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, use them to violate another person’s rights, reverse engineer the app except where the law expressly permits it, or copy the site or app in a way that misrepresents your relationship with KeepFirst.

Intellectual property

The KeepFirst name, app icon, website design, original text, screenshots, and other original materials are owned by Yifan Huang or used with permission. Apple, iPhone, iOS, iCloud, Photos, App Store, and Apple Account are trademarks of Apple Inc. KeepFirst is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.

External services

KeepFirst and the website may link to or rely on Apple, Vercel, email, social networks, and other third-party services. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. KeepFirst does not control their availability or content.

Availability and changes

Features may be corrected, improved, replaced, suspended, or discontinued. Reasonable efforts are made to keep the app and website available and accurate, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Where required, material changes affecting paid features will follow Apple requirements and applicable law.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, KeepFirst and the website are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Nothing on the website is professional legal, financial, or data-recovery advice.

To the extent permitted by law, Yifan Huang is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of KeepFirst or the website, including loss caused by a mistaken selection, unavailable backup, Apple Photos or iCloud behavior, or third-party service. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the app, website, or applicable requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain at this URL. Material changes will be communicated through the website, App Store, or app when required. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
